Data Leakage and Security

Security is about more than locked-down servers, it’s also about what’s unintentionally exposed to the public. Before your site goes live, you need to know that it’s not leaking sensitive information through the source code, browser console, or API responses.

At Fresh Eyes Tech, we examine your site’s public-facing code and interactions the way a curious user, or an attacker, might. We’re not doing deep pen testing, but we catch the things that are surprisingly common and easily missed.

What We Review:

  • Personal or sensitive information (PII) in the page source, including hidden fields, comments, or metadata.
  • Directory listings or exposed environments, such as /.git, /config, /logs, /uploads or staging/debug pages left public.
  • Exposed API keys or access tokens in source code. Sometimes left over from testing or “just temporary” fixes

We’ll flag any potential issues and provide specific information on what’s visible and why it might matter. It’s not a full security audit, but it’s a vital last look before your site goes public.
